Les vitrages non traités offrent peu de protection contre l’énergie solaire, laissant passer la lumière visible excessive (éblouissement), les infrarouges (chaleur) et les UV (ultra violets), ce qui provoque un certain nombre d’inconvénients. Les films permettent de mieux gérer l’énergie solaire, tout en conservant la luminosité désirée et la vue sur l’extérieur. Ils sont faciles à installer et à entretenir et ne nécessitent aucune intervention humaine pour fonctionner.

Information about Mutual Recognition Regulation from ETO

Our Associate member, the European Tuning Organisation (ETO), has provided us this month with more information on the Mutual Recognition Regulation.

As explained on the European Parliament’s website, “In areas where no EU legislation exists, the principle of mutual recognition means that goods that are lawfully marketed in one Member State enjoy the right to free movement and can be sold in another Member State. The adoption of the Mutual Recognition Regulation in 2008 has been crucial in transferring the burden of proof that products are lawfully marketed elsewhere from economic operators to national authorities.”

As specialists in European Affairs and Vehicle Parts, and a long-term EWFA Associate, ETO proposes to support its members and associated parties in the event they would need more information about mutual recognition for window films.

Fact Sheet for Consumers

Untreated glazing offers little protection against solar energy, allowing excessive visible light (glare), infra-red (heat) and UV (ultra violet) to pass through, bringing with them a wide array of challenges. Window Film can alleviate many solar control issues whilst retaining the view through the window. They are non-disruptive to install and maintain, and require no human intervention to operate.
